Clay from the Krim

until November 1, 2024

Visual artist Stefan Belderbos shows large photo images and a video of a field near his hometown of Witmarsum called 'de Krim' in the Fries Landbouwmuseum. In the photos of one and a half meters high, the clay plays the leading role.

Horse people and human horses

until November 1, 2024

Sculptor Pyr Bosma (Metslawier, 1961) has been making sculptures from centuries-old moor oak, also known as 'drift wood', for three decades. A selection of sculptures is now on display in the Frisian Agricultural Museum. 

Keat stables

A showcase dedicated to toy stables containing cows made of bones, pasterns or 'keaten'. The toys were made locally, by a family member or the village carpenter.

Saturday September 14th

Saturday, September 14, will be a fun day in and around the museum. It is the day when the cultural season opens. This year it is in collaboration with Monument Day. The museum provides additional information about our farm, while outside various exhibitors sell tasty and fun regional products.

Fashion show: linen splendor & traditional costume

Saturday October 26

A fashion show with linen fabrics will be held on Saturday, October 26, in collaboration with the Pilat & Pilot families. The fashion show shows the development from historical to modern clothing, combining traditional pieces from the collection with contemporary designs
